Less is boring…

October 25, 2007 · Leave a Comment

What people says about changes are always good… FORGET IT.
A demonstration is the redesign of the Spanish paper EL PAÍS, which is being change few times, but never a radical change like last Sunday.

EL PAÍS use to be a paper for people who likes read, use to be quite rich in design and typography. Use to be an interesting paper.

But from last Sunday seems to be the other way round, a paper for people who doesn’t like to read and mix and incoherent festival of typographies, some of them unnecessary.

There is no rhythm on the composition, the titles have been coloured in blue and red and changes in the structure making difficult understanding the order.

Disappointing… We have lost “the morning independent paper” and we get “the global paper in Spanish” in other words… we get an easy and boring newspaper.

It’s THE CRACK!

October 22, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Last Saturday I was wandering about Southbank, so I decided to pop in Tate Modern and have a look at the new stuff. And yes, take advantage to see Doris Salcedo’s Crack. Which, I must confess, after hearing a lot of controversy about, I REALLY LIKED!
Ok it is a Crack!
But It’s quite funny seeing the Turbine Hall split in two and is actually quite well done.
